    Joseph Araygi

    Admitted to the Tripoli Bar in 1966, Joseph Araygi is a founding partner of Araygi & Maalouly Law Firm and one of its key pillars since its establishment.

    With over fifty years of legal experience, Joseph has developed extensive expertise in criminal and civil law, advising clients on complex legal issues, including mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructuring.

    He holds French and Lebanese Master’s degrees in Law from Saint Joseph University of Beirut, and is fluent in French and Arabic.

    Raymond (Rony) Araygi

    Managing Partner

    Admitted to the Beirut Bar in 1989, Rony Araygi is the Managing Partner of Araygi & Maalouly Law Firm. He has extensive experience in commercial, corporate, and fiscal law, and has acted in numerous domestic and international arbitrations as both counsel and arbitrator under the rules of the ICC, DIAC, and LAMC. His practice spans sectors including post-M&A, distribution, construction, joint ventures, and intellectual property.

    Rony holds a Master’s degree in Law and a Diploma of Higher Studies (DES) in Private Law from Saint Joseph University of Beirut, and is fluent in English, French, and Arabic.

    He has also served in several advisory roles within the Lebanese government, which gave him extensive experience in the public sector. He was appointed Minister of Culture from 2014 to 2016, receiving the French Republic’s distinction of Commandeur des Arts et des Lettres in recognition of his contribution to culture and public service.

    Gabriel (Gaby) Maalouly

    Admitted to the Beirut Bar in 1988, Gabriel has been involved in a very large number of legal matters, particularly in the commercial, corporate and banking fields. He has advised and represented major Lebanese and international clients in complex corporate restructurings, financing operations, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial disputes. His practice also extends to advising banks and financial institutions on regulatory compliance and transactional matters.

    Gabriel has been a lecturer in Business Law at Saint Joseph University of Beirut since 1994.

    He holds a Master’s degree in Law from Saint Joseph University of Beirut.

    Gabriel is fluent in English, French, and Arabic.

    Paula Hakim Maalouly

    Admitted to the Beirut Bar in 1989, Paula advises a wide range of local and international clients in the banking, corporate, commercial, and real estate fields. She has extensive experience in contract negotiation, corporate structuring, and real estate transactions. Her practice also covers enforcement procedures, including the execution of judgments and recovery of assets.

    Paula notably acted as legal advisor in the structuring and establishment of the contractual framework governing the relationship between property owners and the real estate company responsible for managing Beirut’s downtown area (Solidere).

    Paula holds a Master’s degree in Law from Saint Joseph University of Beirut.

    She is fluent in French and Arabic.

    Jacques Tabar

    Admitted to the Beirut Bar in 2000, Jacques has been primarily involved in commercial and criminal litigation, with extensive experience representing clients before Lebanese courts in complex disputes arising from commercial contracts, and corporate or criminal matters.

    He also has a recognized specialization in sports law, where he advises and represents clubs, athletes, and associations in negotiation contracts and on disciplinary and regulatory issues. He has also participated in international and domestic sports arbitrations, including under the Rules of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

    Jacques holds a Master’s degree in Law from the Lebanese University.

    He is a member of the Association Internationale des Avocats du Football (AIAF – Paris), a member of the Appeal Committee of the Lebanese Football Association (LFA), and a member of the Disciplinary Committee of the West Asian Football Federation (WAFF).

    Antoine (Tony) MAALOULY

    Admitted to the Beirut Bar in 2001, Antoine has been involved in a wide range of legal matters, particularly in the commercial, tax, and employment fields. He regularly advises corporate and individual clients on administrative and regulatory procedures with legal implications, and represents them before Lebanese courts and public authorities. He also has considerable experience in real estate, inheritance and tax matters, particularly in coordinating with public authorities and ensuring compliance with all required formalities and procedures.

    Antoine holds a Master’s degree in Law from the Lebanese University.

    He is fluent in French and Arabic.

    Nicole ARAYGI

    Admitted to the Beirut Bar in 2014, Nicole has acquired substantial international experience in the field of international arbitration, both commercial and investment. She trained in the international arbitration department of Bredin Prat (Paris) and later joined the international arbitration team of Mayer Brown LLP in Paris between 2016 and 2018. She became part of Araygi & Maalouly in early 2019 and continues to collaborate with Mayer Brown on a number of international arbitration cases.

    Nicole has taught a workshop in Private International Business Law as part of the Master’s program at the University of Évry-Val-d’Essonne (France) during the academic years 2016–2017 and 2017–2018, and later a workshop in Private International Law to fourth-year law students at the Saint Joseph University of Beirut until 2025.

    She holds a Bachelor of Law from Saint Joseph University of Beirut, a Master’s in Private International Law and International Business Law from Panthéon-Assas University (Paris II), a Diploma in International Arbitration from the University of Montpellier, and an LL.M. in Business Law from Saint Joseph University of Beirut.

    Nicole is fluent in English, French, and Arabic.

    Ghada Harb

    Admitted to the Beirut Bar in 2019, Ghada focuses her practice on civil law, corporate and business law and arbitration. She has extensive experience in litigation, arbitration and contract drafting, and regularly provides both in-house and external legal consultations on a wide range of business-related matters. Previously, she worked at the legal departments of multinational companies from 2013 to 2018. Ghada joined Araygi & Maalouly in 2025.

    She holds a Bachelor of Laws, a Diploma of Higher Studies (DEA) in Business Law and a Master’s Degree in Business Law (2019) from the Lebanese University (with honors). She also holds a Diploma in Arbitration (2023) from the Lebanese American University (LAU).

    She is fluent in English and Arabic.

    Karim YAMMINE

    Admitted to the Beirut Bar Association in 2023, Karim joined Araygi & Maalouly in 2021.
